KENYA SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT
The Kenya Institute of administration (KIA) is a Public Management Development Institute established in 1961 to prepare Kenyans to take over the running of the public service after the country became independent. The Institute acquired parastatal status in 1996 under an Act of Parliament (Act N0. 2). The Act mandates KIA to promote national development through provision of training, research and Consultancy to the public, private sectors and the Non-governmental Organizations. The act further mandates the Institute to promote standards of competence and integrity and a culture of transparency and accountability in management of Organizations.
To achieve its mission, KIA continuously reviews its training, research and consultancy programmes and facilities with the aim of developing high quality programmes and services attuned to the constantly evolving and dynamic needs of its employees.
